The viral footage was recorded by Tik Tok user @bebe_angeles last month while waiting for the light to turn green in the Lima district of San Juan de Lurigancho.

A user on Tik Tok said the driver of the Beetle was using his feet to cover up for the high gasoline prices in Peru


As the nearby vehicles revved their engines, the driver of the Beetle lowered his legs through a hole in the car and pedaled his feet down the left lane.

The driver mimicked the legendary caveman cartoon character for several seconds before his engine was back up and running.
