It shows a driver smash into brick wall before colliding with another car that had been following close behind it on Bradford Road

Footage shows a white car, which appears to be speeding down the 30mph road, comes careering into frame.

It veers out of control and smashes into a brick wall outside a fish and chip shop, Mother Hubbard's.

The car is travelling so fast that the wall does not stop it and the impact sends bricks and sparks flying everywhere.

The car flies through the air, skids along the top of the wall and spins around, almost landing on its roof.

The car was driving so quickly that it doesn't stop when it hits the wall but instead keeps going, sending bricks and sparks flying everywhere

Just as the car lands, another car comes zooming up behind it and crashes into it, sending both cars spinning across the road and into traffic lights

Bradford Road had to be closed so debris could be moved out of the way

As the car lands back on the road, another car comes zooming up behind it and crashes into it, sending both cars spinning across the road and across traffic lights.

The white car's bonnet has been ripped almost clean off in the collision.

The two male drivers then appear to clamber out of the cars and stand around before staggering out of view.

Social media users have suggested that the drivers were racing late at night

It is unclear why both drivers were driving so fast but some locals on social media were convinced they were racing.

Ash Manby wrote: 'Second car was racing them. Too close behind and too fast. Hopefully they were hurt just badly enough to learn a lesson.'

And Ian Sands said: 'Obviously the two cars were racing. They deserve all they get. Just glad no one innocent was killed or injured.'

On Tuesday, West Yorkshire Police, said: 'This was a non-injury collision involving two vehicles which was reported to us at 12.58am today.

'Bradford Road was closed for a short time to allow for debris to be removed.'
