Victims lay on ground in the aftermath of Sacramento massacre

The killings happened in the city's lively entertainment district in the early hours of Sunday after a brawl broke out on 10th street outside a number of popular bars. Witness video showed rapid gunfire of at least 76 shots ringing out over the course of 54 seconds as people screamed and ran for cover.

A total of six people, three men and three women, died in the 2am attack. Cops are yet to officially confirm the identities of the victims, but two of the dead have been named as Sergio Harris, 38, and DeVasia Turner, 29.

'They were cousins … Sergio and DeVazia were cousins,' Turner's father, Frank Turner, told Fox 40. 'There’s just nothing to say. I’m just here. I’m grief, that’s all — grief. You know what I’m saying? That’s all I can say.'

Bystander video shows the moment rapid gunfire struck in downtown Sacramento early Sunday morning.

A large group of people are seen outside a bar in an apparent fight, yelling and pushing each other. The fight breaks up as shots are fired into the crowd, causing people to duck and run.

Screaming civilians are seen hiding behind buildings and in alleyways, taking cover behind dumpsters, as the gunmen continue to fire shots. Seventy-six shots are heard in the 54 second clip.

After the gunfire seemingly ceases, sounds of car horns and sirens fill the air.

Another video, shared Monday morning on the TODAY Show, shows bystanders racing away as shots are fired into the crowd. A white vehicle rush past the the group as chaos erupts in the streets.

It is unclear if the vehicle pictured in the footage belonged to the suspect and authorities did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for comment.

However, on Sunday, Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester said law enforcement was 'asking for the public's help' with the investigation.

'If anyone saw anything, has video or can provide any information to the police department, we are asking for their assistance,' she said.
